it's over

my term on The Scrapping Bug design team is over. it's sad when things end, especially when you really enjoy the work. aprils kit was hard for me to work with, something i would never buy for myself but i loved the challenge trying to work it my own way.
i received lots of bo-bunny serenity papers, including the noteworthy pack of journaling cards. a few designs from lily bee and a stamp from imaginisce. here's my projects....

this is a 10x10 canvas made from book paper and the noteworthy journaling die cut pack

you may recognize one of the next cards. i was able double up and use the last
Use Your Stuff challenge with my dt kit.

this next layout is for a friends gift album

and a few more cards using this stamp

be sure to check out the Bug board for more inspiration from the other design team members.
happy hump day!

online crop this weekend

yep, the scrapping bug is having an online crop this weekend. there is already lots of chatter, games
and challenges posted. click over to the bug board and join us!  here is one of the challenges and
what i made for it.

for scrapbookers the challenge is to use stamps on your layouts & for card makers the challenge is not to use stamps on your cards. instead use a pre-made chipboard or die cut embellishment.

i stamped the date, the star borders top&bottom, go out and play in the upper right and the girl holding a flag was stamped and coloured with copic markers.

i gave the card makers one exception and that was.....they can stamp their sentiments, as I did in the photo above. the award ribbon chipboard is from basic grey.

i hope you can come and join in on the fun. there are 6 challenges posted for the weekend and you have until 9:00 pm sunday to upload your projects.

have a great weekend!

dt reveal day

in my kit from the scrapbooking bug this month, i had lots of products from the basic grey kissing booth product line. it has a little bit of love theme to it but if you don't follow that theme it's a great line for everyday photos too.

i borrowed some photos from my friend theresa of her beautiful daughter for the two layouts i made this month. thanks theresa.

this jenni bowlin mini book has covers that are very easy to emboss. i used this hero arts stamp and embossing folder combo, from the scrapping bug.

right now i am away enjoying my time at scrappin' cabin.
i might not be back for another post until next week.

happy hump day!

The Scrapping Bug December reveal

It's that time again, I get to share what made with my design team kit.

This month I got to work with some great products from Teresa Collins, Echo Park,
Core-dinations and Ranger.  When I first got my kit I was a little stumped, well unsure really how
all the black would look. The Christmas Home line by TC has lots of black in the mix I was
happily surprised with the way things turned out. Playing outside my comfort zone wasn't that bad.

This is a chipboard 11.5x4 inch album, the inner pages are a little smaller.

Head over to the Scrapping Bug gallery to see what the other design team members have been up to.
There are some great projects this month.

Thanks for lookin' !

Show & Tell

It's reveal time !
On the 15th of every month the design team at The Scrapping Bug
gets to share what we made with our monthly kits.

This is a gift card holder & birthday card made from
Canvas Corp flute/corrugate paper

and a circle punch. I glued the circles to the back of the die cut paper
in rows, then mounted that to brown cardstock.

I have two more little items to share with you...................

The snow man was made with a circle cutter and the pieces of coal
were cut with an eyelet setter. The arms are corrugate paper.

The base of these gift tags were cut with Spellbinders and the tree and hat
were drawn out then hand cut.

Head over to the gallery see what the other gals made this month.

Thanks for checkin' in on the blog today, see ya soon.
