getting into the swing of things

Hello there!

Well, things are starting to feel a bit more normal around the new house. we are almost some the first round of renovations and we are really liking it so far.....more to come but we need a break I think.

new floors throughout the house

See the dresser.....I found that at Yesterdays Home Furnishings here in Shelburne.
My new favourite store.

Here are some more pics......

old counter top in kitchen
you remember this don't you?
this kind of counter was in my childhood home.

very girl needs a little bit of sparkle, right?
this is in my craft room

here's it is.....I'm very happy that it's almost set up.
it's also working as a computer area for both of us (not shown)
the desk is on the other side of the room.

and this is our garage.......
we have most of our belongings from the old home in there.

One of the bloggers I follow, Glenda click to visit her blog
who recently moved shared this with me....
"Our basement is a complete nightmare, it looks like a hoarder lives in it."

I feel the same way Glenda.
Where did all this stuff come from?

One last thing for today. I actually made something!!

Definitely not my best creation but...
I'm happy to just be able to make stuff again!

Thanks for visiting :)

you've been very busy!
I'm impressed that with all you're doing, you've managed to set up you scrappy space and even had a chance to play in it.

I love what you've done to your new place. I can't wait to be able to check it out in person.

Oh Joy you made me laugh and made my night!! I know I'm not alone, although I don't relish the thought of someone else going through the same hell! haha Looovveee the floors, they are very similar to ours!! And the craft room??? LOVE! That chandelier is the icing on the cake!!! Last weekend the hubs and I attacked the basement and now it just looks like we have been robbed and ransacked... haha! I should have taken a pic before as it was bizarre!!
